Romans 7:18-19: "For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing."
To echo my thoughts that sometimes I wish to be home (where Christ is, and all my hopes and desires will be fulfilled), I think Paul's words in Philippians say it all for me: "For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the 2. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, FOR THAT IS FAR BETTER. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account. " (Phil 1:21-24)
I deeply long to see my Saviour face to face. But for now, before He calls me home, I will do His will and go whereever He wants me to go.
